Lion's Park in Waco Texas
Lions Park is an important part of Waco's history. It is one of only 14 amusement parks for small children remaining from what was a baby-boom explosion of about 200 such facilities across the country. That's why Parsons Roofing donated three roofs for the: Depot Area, Train Pavilion, and Ticket Area.

Fuzzy Friends Rescue

Parsons Roofing is a strong supporter of the Fuzzy Friends Rescue Organization in Waco, TX.  The Fuzzy Friend Rescue believes that animals, as living creatures, are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion.  They are a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide shelter, food, medical treatment and love to our community’s animals that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need.

Parsons Roofing latest contribution was a donation of $3500 to help protect our Fuzzy Friends.  We feel an obligation as a leading company in the community to give back and provide to all of those in need.

Parsons Roofing Gives Back To The Community

Parsons Roofing will be donating meals at local Wendy’s Restaurants.  This project was kicked off in May at Wendy’s Restaurant in Waco near Baylor.  Approximately 75-80 people were provided a free meal.  Marty Honey, salesman at Parsons, was there to organize the first event.  “Parsons Roofing wants to help people in our local communities.  We are always trying to think of ways to give back and we decided this was a good way."

Parsons Roofing will provide free meals for one day, to approximately 75 people, at the beginning of every month.  The exact dates and locations will change.  Listen to FM WACO 100 for dates and locations each month.  Marty stated, “We will travel to different Wendy’s locations each month in Waco, Temple and Killeen.”

Thanks Marty for organizing this project!  Be sure to look for Marty next month at Wendy’s!

The award of “Volunteer in the Communities” was presented to Stuart Parsons, Jr. of Parsons Roofing on 10/27/05 by General Simmons at the Hood Hero Awards ceremony on the Fort Hood Army Base. This award was in recognition of Parsons Roofing’s donation of a new roof for the Texas Military Family Foundation building.

“By donating the new roof, Stuart put new life back into an old building that was going to be demolished. Our goal [at Texas Military Family Foundation] is to put new life back into wounded and injured soldiers. The new roof made our building appearance warm and welcoming for the soldiers we help.”  Julie Curtis-Win, Executive Director.

Mr. Parsons:
Parsons Roofing Co. Employees
Everybody:

First I most apologize for the lateness. But the roof you donated for our museum has not gone unnoticed. Your kindness and generosity is most unbelievable-there is still some good folks left. I so wanted to get down to meet and thank all of you but my health just would not permit it.

Bless you all,
John Connolly
