The Duro-Last vinyl roof membrane is a proprietary thermoplastic formulation
consisting of PVC resins, plasticizers, stabilizers, biocides, flame retardants
and U.V. absorbents. A weft-insertion knitted scrim that is laminated between
two layers of PVC film gives the membrane its strength and durability. The
Duro-Last membrane is available in white, tan, gray, or dark gray.
Duro-Last has met or exceeded all major fire and wind code requirements, and
regional approvals as necessary throughout the country. These certifications
reinforce Duro-Last's leadership in providing the consistent, watertight
integrity that building owners expect.
Energy Efficiency
Duro-Last is a leader in cool roofing solutions. The Duro-Last Commercial Roof reflects up to 86% of the sun’s rays, resulting in saving up to 35% on energy costs! The Duro-Last Roof System has been approved by Energy Star. Of the white, single-ply products rated by the Energy Star program, only the Duro-Last Roof System retained reflectivity this high.
Leak Proof
The Duro-Last membrane is classified as a CPA and is a proprietary thermoplastic formulation consisting of resins and plasticizers, stabilizers, biocides, flame retardant and UV absorbents. This membrane is then laminated to a weft insertion knitted scrim that is produced by overstitching, a non-woven web. Because of this composition and professional installation, the Duro-Last Roofing System provides you with a leak proof roof!
Durable
The Duro-Last Roof System is resistant to fire, chemicals, grease, high winds, and punctures, and easily accommodates wide temperature extremes. The Duro-Last Roof System has endured such devastating storms as Hurricane Hugo, and Hurricane Andrew. In 1989, 130 Duro-Last roofs remained undamaged after the force of Hurricane Hugo destroyed many buildings in the Charleston, South Carolina area.
Prefabricated and Installed by Authorized Professionals
Every Duro-Last roof is measured and manufactured to exact size, accommodating every roof top penetration. Prefabricating the roof in the Duro-Last factory environment eliminates up to 85% of seaming that is done on-site during roof top installation, and improves the long term performance of the roofing system. This precise attention to detail ensures an excellent fit and delivers worry-free, leak-proof protection. Duro-Last can even assist your architect, facilities or maintenance personnel in developing specifications for your roofing project.
The Duro-Last Commercial Roof System can only be installed by authorized Duro-Last contractors who have received extensive training in this system.
The Industry’s Best Warranty
Duro-Last protects commercial and industrial buildings with a comprehensive 15 year full warranty or a 20 year protected warranty. Both provide maximum protection, including coverage against damage caused by ponding water, and coverage against consequential damages that result from defects in the Duro-Last material.
Proven Track Record
Since its creation in 1978, Duro-Last Roofing, Inc. has had over one billion square feet of roofing system installed throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Many of Duro-Last’s original roofs still remain intact and continue to perform exceptionally well.
