Empowering Future Educators: Donation to ACU Oxford Trip

We are proud to announce our recent donation of $18,000 to the ACU Dallas Applied Research Center. This contribution is more than a financial gift, it’s a direct investment in the future of education and leadership.

The funds will specifically support students in Abilene Christian University’s Online Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program, enabling them to travel to Oxford, England for a prestigious international research conference. There, these future educational leaders will present their own research on a global stage—an incredible opportunity for growth, learning, and impact.

We believe in the power of education to transform lives and communities. By helping to remove financial barriers for these doctoral students, we’re honored to play a small part in helping them reach their full potential. These are the leaders who will go on to shape school systems, empower teachers, and influence the direction of education for years to come.

Construction is in full swing on a one-of-a-kind softball and baseball complex dreamed up by our very own Stuart Parsons, owner of Parsons Roofing!

At Parsons Roofing, we’ve always believed in building more than just roofs, we build things that last, things that matter. And now, we’re proud to be building something close to our hearts: a world-class baseball and softball complex right here in Clifton, Texas.

What started as a small idea, a single field for Stuart Parsons’ 9-year-old twins to practice on, has transformed into something much bigger: a sports destination designed to bring people together, create unforgettable memories, and give back to the community we love.

More Than a Field—A Place to Belong

This new complex, located on Stuart’s 300-acre hunting ranch, will include:

  • Two baseball fields and two softball fields

  • A three-story air-conditioned central hub with views of all four fields

  • Suites and cooling rooms for coaches, umpires, and photographers

  • Twenty cabins for families and teams to stay overnight

  • A lazy river for some well-earned downtime

  • Mouthwatering BBQ from a lifelong friend’s trailer

This is more than a place to play. It’s a place to relax, connect, and make lifelong memories.

A Vision with Heart

Originally, we had our eyes set on a larger complex in Chalk Bluff. When that project hit some delays, we shifted our focus to Clifton—and it felt like fate.

“We said, ‘let’s build one on the ranch’ and one thing led to another but kind of like my life somebody is up there telling me ‘this is what you should do.’ ”

In just a few short weeks, we’ve completed one of the softball fields and are making fast progress on the central building, which will feature ten luxury suites and plenty of space for guests to cool off between games.

A Place for Everyone

While the main goal is to host tournaments, we envision so much more. Team-building events, school faculty retreats, and family outings are all part of the plan.

“What I’m most excited about, like last night when I see all these kids out here trying out and then at the end of tryouts, they’re running round playing , playing wiffle ball, parents. It just brings so many people together and I’ve just been blessed and sports has taught me the game of life and I’m able to do this and I think I’m going to affect more people than I can affect any other way.”

Looking to the Future

The Clifton complex is just the beginning. We still plan to complete the larger Chalk Bluff location next year, which will feature four baseball and four softball fields.

And we believe they will—because what we’re building here isn’t just a complex. It’s a dream come to life.
